  • 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly.
  • Dry the chickpeas as much as you can! Spread the rinsed chickpeas on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Gently pat them dry.
  • In a medium bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 30-40 minutes, or until the chickpeas are golden brown and crispy. Shake the pan halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Once roasted, remove the chickpeas from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet. They will crisp up even more as they cool. Enjoy immediately!
