  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of ginger
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey, agave, or your preferred sweetener)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • Chia seeds (optional)
  • Flax seeds (optional)
  • Chopped nuts (optional)
  • Coconut flakes (optional)
  • Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the rolled oats and milk (or water).
  • Stir in the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the oats are cooked to your desired consistency. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Stir in the maple syrup (or your preferred sweetener).
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the almond butter until it’s fully incorporated.
  • Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and top with mixed berries.
