Total Time:35 minutes
Yield:6 servings 1x
Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts
6 oz Bacon
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
1/4 cup Balsamic glaze
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (Optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Wash the Brussels sprouts thoroughly, trim the ends, and remove any outer leaves that are yellowed or damaged. Halve or quarter them depending on their size, ensuring they are roughly the same size for even cooking.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease, reserving about 1 tablespoon of the bacon fat in the skillet.
In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with the reserved bacon fat and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and slightly browned, flipping them halfway through for even browning.
Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and transfer them back to the bowl. Add the cooked bacon and balsamic glaze. Toss gently to combine.
Transfer the roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and balsamic glaze to a serving dish. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
