2 cups of spinach or kale (packed)
1 cup of frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 frozen banana
1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
1/2 cup of water (adjust to desired consistency)
Optional: a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice
Instructions
Prepare Your Ingredients: Wash the spinach or kale thoroughly. Peel and roughly chop the ginger. Gather all other ingredients.
Combine in a Blender: Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender. Start with the liquids (almond milk and water) at the bottom to help the blending process.
Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed until the smoothie is completely smooth. This usually takes about 1-2 minutes, depending on your blender.
Adjust Consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add more water, a little at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. If it’s too thin, add a few more frozen fruit chunks.
