Spooky ghost pops Easiest Halloween treat Learn the marshmallow pops tech for a spooky simple dessert Perfect treat Fun Halloween ghost pops

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 pops 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 12 lollipop sticks
  • 12 oz white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Black decorating gel or mini chocolate chips
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marshmallows: Gently insert a lollipop stick into the center of each marshmallow. Be careful not to push the stick all the way through.
  2. Melt the White Chocolate: In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. Stir in the shortening, if using, for an even smoother consistency.
  3. Dip the Marshmallows: Dip each marshmallow into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Gently tap off any excess chocolate.
  4. Decorate: Immediately place the dipped marshmallow on a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper. While the chocolate is still wet, add sprinkles if desired. Use black decorating gel or mini chocolate chips to create ghost faces. For the eyes, use two small dots, and for the mouth, create a simple “O” shape or a spooky smile.
  5. Chill and Set: Place the marshmallow pops in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set and firm.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Once the chocolate is set, remove the Ghost Marshmallow Pops from the refrigerator and serve. Enjoy your spooky and sweet treat!
