Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of fresh strawberries, washed and dried
- 8 ounces of semisweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (optional, for a glossy finish)
- White chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
- Sprinkles, nuts, or shredded coconut (optional, for toppings)
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries – Start by selecting fresh, ripe strawberries. Make sure they are washed and thoroughly dried as any water can prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.
- Step 2: Melt the Chocolate – Place the chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
- Step 3: Optional – Add Coconut Oil – If you want a glossy finish, mix in two tablespoons of coconut oil once the chocolate is melted.
- Step 4: Dip the Strawberries – Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s coated thoroughly.
- Step 5: Add Toppings – If you wish to add toppings like sprinkles, nuts, or shredded coconut, do so immediately after dipping while the chocolate is still wet.
- Step 6: Cool the Covered Strawberries – Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
